New York, NY - CanAm Enterprises, LLC (“CanAm”) is pleased to announce that a $71 million EB-5 loan has been repaid in full to CanAm’s Pennsylvania Regional Center, and all 142 investors were returned their capital investment.

The loan was given to a non-profit healthcare system based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is one of the largest non-profit health care systems in the country, the largest healthcare system in Pennsylvania, and the largest employer in the region. The $71 million loan helped finance a 256,253 square foot hospital in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. The hospital includes an Emergency department, Surgery with Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories, Imaging Services, a Cancer Center, Endoscopy, Dining, Laboratories, Pharmacy, and 118 inpatient beds. The project also contributed in constructing a 400-car, multi-level parking garage for employees, patients, and visitors.

“As one of the largest employers in Pittsburgh and a key player in the biomedical corridor that sustains the regional economy, being able to put EB-5 dollars to work in this project supports the continued growth of Pittsburgh as a leader in the health and biomedical research industries," said Tom Rosenfeld, President and CEO of CanAm. “And given the research and treatment they provide to the entire Allegheny County population – and how important it is to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s economic development plans, it was a real pleasure for us.” adds.

The EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program is facilitated by the USCIS. The program provides opportunities for qualified foreign nationals to gain permanent legal residency in the United States through an investment in an USCIS-approved project that fulfills job creation requirements. The project created 2,424 jobs, allowing the investors and their families to receive permanent Green Cards with the option to apply for United States citizenship upon qualification. All 142 investors in the project have obtained permanent residency status as a result of their EB-5 investment.

“It's already been six years since we came to the United States, and my children have been doing very well. My husband and I wanted to give them the opportunity to study medicine here in the US, and now that they are lawful permanent residents, they are one step closer to achieving their goals,” said an investor in one of CanAm’s projects, “we want to thanks CanAm for all their efforts!”

To date, CanAm, a leading EB-5 Immigration investment fund promoter has sponsored almost $2 billion in EB-5 investments through over 46 projects that have resulted in the creation of more than 38,000 new, full-time jobs in the United
States. Nearly 2,600 investors and their families have received I-526 approvals and more than 1,400 investor families have received successful I-829 approvals. In addition, 28 of these projects have been repaid in full and on time to the investor families.
