Dear Investor,
As many of you may be aware, U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted late in the evening on April 20th that he intended to sign an Executive Order (“EO”) temporarily suspending immigration to the U.S., purportedly to mitigate harm to the U.S. economy as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. On April 22nd, the language to be contained in EO was issued; although it does temporarily suspend the entry of certain incoming immigrants, significantly, it exempts “any alien applying for a visa to enter the United States pursuant to the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program.” Thus, we are pleased that all our EB-5 investors will be able to continue pursuing their immigrant petitions and visa applications.
The EO will expire in 60 days (barring any further extensions), and we will be closely monitoring the situation and providing you updates as they become available. As always, we wish to emphasize that it is extremely important for all CanAm investors to maintain compliance with all EB-5 Program requirements in order to preserve their immigration status.
Tom Rosenfeld,
President and CEO
