Industry Leaders Assemble Virtually to Discuss the Future of the EB-5 Industry

NEW YORK, NY – CanAm Enterprises (CanAm), the leading full-service financial firm sponsoring EB-5 immigration-linked investment funds, is thrilled to announce that CanAm’s Chief Operating Officer, Christine Chen, will be one of the panelists at the 2020 IIUSA Virtual EB-5 Industry Forum.

Ms. Chen will discuss the impacts of COVID-19 and the current political climate on investor markets in the Emerging Investor Market Trends Around the Globe panel on Wednesday, November 18.

“I am honored to join such an esteemed group of EB-5 industry experts, and our partners over the years, in discussing the impact of the current climate on the EB-5 industry,” said Ms. Chen. “In unprecedented times such as these, we need to ask ourselves ‘How do we tap into emerging markets when face-to-face meetings are restricted? How to bridge the educational and branding components in so many small but new markets? How do we leverage relationships in different countries?”’

IIUSA’s ambitious 2-week program will cover key topics including government affairs updates, processing and adjudication trends, investor market insights and redeployment. Notable speakers include Sarah Kendall, Chief, Immigrant Investor Program Office (IPO), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and Charles Oppenheim, Chief of the Visa Control and Reporting Division at the U.S. Department of State.

Ms. Chen joined CanAm in 2002 and has helped shape the firm’s strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies. In her current role, she oversees several distinct EB-5 business functions and the management of over 40 staff members worldwide. Under her leadership, CanAm’s EB-5 project repayments exceeded $1.75 billion, an important milestone.

IIUSA’s live webinar discussions will kick off on Tuesday, November 10. To view the complete schedule of events and to purchase tickets, please click here.
