Matthew Stummer is CanAm’s Senior Vice President, Investments. In this role, Mr. Stummer is responsible for sourcing and evaluating the many project opportunities available to CanAm and selecting those that are most aligned with the company’s values and best suited to the goals of CanAm’s investors. Mr. Stummer joined CanAm in 2021 as an Investment Associate, where he has focused on deal origination, underwriting, structuring, asset management and investor reporting across multiple funds under management.
Prior to joining CanAm, Mr. Stummer worked for a New York City real estate investment firm, where he served in the roles as of an investment and capital markets associate and analyst specializing in multifamily redevelopment. Mr. Stummer also served as an investment associate acquiring assets and raising capital for a UK-based co-living developer. Mr. Stummer received his Bachelor of Business Administration in 2017 from the University of Michigan, Stephen M. Ross School of Business, with a concentration in Real Estate & Finance.
